For drilling toolpaths it helps to start with a round path. In the example below the "Draw Circle" tool is being used to create a new path.
Select the paths you want to work with.
Open the toolpaths tab on the right side of the screen and press the "Drilling" button.
Select the path Set the Start Depth. Zero corresponds to the top of the material and is usually where you want to start cutting.
Set the Cut Depth. This is measured RELATIVE to the start depth. For example, a start depth of 0.5 and a cut depth of 0.6 would end up cutting to a final depth of 1.1.
Select the appropriate Tool. There are many cutting tools pre-defined in the Tool Database. Press the "Select" button to access them and choose one. DO NOT EDIT ANY OF THE TOOL PRESETS WITHOUT STAFF APPROVAL. You can damage the tool, the machine or hurt someone if you enter inappropriate speed and feed settings.
Selecting the "Peck Drilling" option will make the tool plunge by the pass depth specified in the tool pass depth settings then retract by the distance specified by "Retract Gap".
Press "Calculate" to generate a toolpath with the specified depths, cutting tool and cutting parameters.
