Make sure your file has been properly prepared.
At the CNC Router workstation, open your file in the Vectric VCarve Pro program.
DXF, DWG and AI files retain layers. Separate pages in PDF files are imported as different layers.
The material will automatically scale to the extent of the design. Enter the dimensions of the workpiece if you want to precisely locate the design inside the material.
Select "Material Z" to reference to the top or bottom of the material. On our routers Z is typically zeroed to the top.
If needed, select "Use origin offset" and enter the desired offset. An offset of 0.5" on both X and Y axes will align the job zero point with the bottom left corner of the spoilboard.
If needed, select "Center Data in Job" to locate your design in the middle of the workpiece.

Select the vectors that will define your first toolpath.
Follow the instructions for configuring a Profile, Pocket or Drilling toolpath.
After all toolpaths are defined, rearrange the order of toolpaths to ensure a proper cutting strategy. For example, nested vectors should be cut inside-to-outside to prevent a larger piece from detaching before inner features have been machined.
Give your Shopbot Part File file a descriptive name and export the file. Repeat as necessary for other sets of toolpaths.
